Kids who still enjoy bathroom humor will get a kick out of it.

I Farted on Santa’s Lap Lyrics
Mom made beans for dinner
You know I ate ‘em all
She said come get your coat on, we’re goin’ to the mall
Gonna visit Santa and sit upon his knee
But all that I could think about was how not to cut the cheese

While waiting there for Santa, I thought that I’d explode
The gas bubble grew bigger with every “Ho, Ho, Ho”
Tried my best to hide it, thought I was doing swell
But when I sat down on Santa’s lap, he hollered “What’s that smell!”

Chorus:
I farted on Santa’s lap, now christmas is gonna stink for me
I farted on Santa’s lap, now I’ll get nothin’ under my Christmas tree

I asked him for a baseball
I asked him for a bat
I asked him for some ice skates but I’ll get none of that
I asked him for a lot of things I’ll have to do without
‘Cause when I sat on Santa’s lap, I let one slip out

(Chorus)

On Christmas Eve I snuck out of my bed without a sound
Went down to the living room just to take a look around
It was then that I saw Santa next to the Christmas tree
His arms were full of presents and they were all for me
He put them on a pile and got up to turn around
And blew a fart with such great force our tree almost came down
And so I’ll always cherish that special moment when
I realized even old Saint Nick rips one now and then

I farted on Santa’s lap and Christmas didn’t stink for me
I farted on Santa’s lap and Santa left one on my Christmas tree

Well, way up north where the air gets cold
There’s a tale about Christmas that you’ve all been told
And a real famous cat all dressed up in red
And he spends the whole year workin’ out on his sled

She’s candy-apple red with a ski for a wheel
And when Santa hits the gas, man, just watch her peel

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Lyrics
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Let your heart be light
From now on, liv
Our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on,
Our troubles will be miles away.

Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.

Through the years we all will be together
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.

“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” is a song introduced by Judy Garland in the 1944 MGM musical Meet Me in St. Louis.

The song as originally written was deemed to be too somber and songwriter Hugh Martin initially resisted changes. Eventually, however, he changed some of the lyrics to make the song more upbeat. For instance, the lines “It may be your last / Next year we may all be living in the past” became “Let your heart be light / Next year all our troubles will be out of sight“.

Studies have shown music can affect the way people act and feel. Upbeat lyrics with a snappy tune can make you feel better, while those soft tones and sad lyrics can make you feel down, too. There’s no doubt about it – music plays an important part in our life all year long.

Song lyrics and tunes can stir your memory, make you laugh, make you smile, make you feel happy and want to share the gift of your love and generosity. It creates a sense of well being and sets just the right mood when it’s time to entertain.

During the holidays, we can often spend time with our friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere that can be enhanced by music. When you hear certain Christmas songs, it immediately creates a holly jolly holiday atmosphere, and that’s what you want when you entertain during the holidays. People don’t attend parties to be dragged down. They come for fun, for the pleasure of company and to spend time with people they care about.

Hearing favorite Christmas songs can liven up a party or even inspire a spontaneous sing along. When you’re planning your party, think about the people who’ll be attending and take into consideration the kind of music they enjoy. And remember that you don’t want to pick songs that could drown out conversation.

Think about what type of atmosphere you’re trying to convey when you select the Christmas music. Are you looking to have a party that’s more heartfelt and intimate? Or are you looking for a party where the place will rock? While songs about little old ladies getting run over by reindeer might make kids laugh, some of your business associates might not appreciate it at a more upscale gathering. The kind of music you choose will have an influence on the mood of the attendees.

There are literally hundreds of recorded Christmas songs and carols you can choose for your party, so take some time to look for new variations as well as old favorites. You’re sure to find the mix that will set just the right mood for your event.

How excited you were as you counted down the days until Santa Claus arrived? You may remember the decorated houses, the wonderful scents as the food cooked, the joyful sound of laughter as your family celebrated together, and the classic Christmas songs that played in the background.

Hearing those holiday tunes can sure trigger a trip down memory lane. Today, children all over the world love those same tunes, and as the years pass, those memories will be shared with a new generation of children.

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was (and is still) one of the top favorites. Remember how happy you were when Rudolph triumphed and ending up helping Santa Clause guide the sleigh safely through the night thanks to that bright, glowing nose? That song is much loved by children everywhere, thanks to the story told in the lyrics.

And how about “Frosty the Snowman?” As kids, we all imagined dancing with Frosty in the street and singing happily about having fun like he suggested. It was more than just a song back then – in our childish imaginations, Frosty was real and we all delighted in hearing a song about him or watched him on television.

How many of us were good little boys and girls because we’d heard what was said in “Santa Claus is Coming to Town?” We knew he had that list and he was checking to see what kind of children we’d been all year – naughty or nice.

“Jingle Bells” is another song that we used to love. You could almost see the sleigh, feel the impatience of the horse stomping the snow-packed ground and feel the bite of the winter air against the tip of your nose.

And who could forget the fun Chipmunks song, “Christmas Don’t Be Late”?

As kids, we could identify with being good – but knowing it wouldn’t last just like we could identify with the “Let It Snow” song as we stood at the window in childlike wonder as the fat flakes of snow turned our ordinary world in a magical one.

There are plenty of new holiday songs released every year,

May in 1939 as an assignment for Montgomery Ward. The retailer had been buying and giving away coloring books for Christmas every year, and it was decided that creating their own book would save money. In its first year of publication, 2.4 million copies of Rudolph’s story were distributed by Montgomery Ward.

The author’s brother-in-law, Johnny Marks, was a radio producer and song writer who decided to adapt May’s story into a song. It was first sung commercially by crooner Harry Brannon on New York City radio in the latter part of 1948 before Gene Autry recorded it formally in 1949. Now it’s a holiday classic.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Lyrics
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
“Rudolph, with your nose so bright,
won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you’ll go down in history!

Schulz. The music for the show was written by jazz composer Vince Guaraldi, and TV executives didn’t think audiences would like it at all. But they did. One of the most popular songs from the show is “Christmas Time is Here.” These are the lyrics.

Christmas Time is Here Lyrics
by Vince Guaraldi

Christmas Brown Christmas treeChristmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of the year

Snowflakes in the air
Carols everywhere
Olden times and ancient rhymes
Of love and dreams to share

Sleigh bells in the air
Beauty everywhere
Yuletide by the fireside
And joyful memories there

Christmas time is here
We’ll be drawing near
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year…

But do you know the story BEHIND these stories? Here is some fun trivia about a few of our favorite holiday movies.

“Fahoo Forays” is the name of the song the Whos sing in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Dr. Seuss invented the words of the song to sound like classical Latin. Seuss was so successful that some people thought it was real Latin and wanted the translation.

In A Year Without A Santa Claus, a little girl is writing the word Christmas with a crayon, but the letters seem to appear before she actually writes them.

- The color of the Grinch’s eyes change from red to blue after he has his “change of heart.”

- The real name of the song many people only know as “Charlie Brown Christmas song” is “Christmas Time is Here.”

- In Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the does don’t have antlers, but reindeer are the only type of deer where both sexes do have antlers.

- Boris Karloff’s voice was mechanically altered to give him the gravelly Grinch voice heard in the How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

- In Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, the Burgermeister slips on a toy duck at the top of the stairs. But there is no duck on the stairs when he is shown coming out of the building.

- “Linus and Lucy,” which became the theme song for all the Charlie Brown specials, was written for A Charlie Brown Christmas. This was the first animated show starring the Peanuts characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz

- The only time Lucy ever refers to Charlie Brown just “Charlie” in a Peanuts special is shortly before she discusses the commercialization of Christmas in A Charlie Brown Christmas. Thereafter, she always calls him Charlie Brown .

- In Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the only elf who doesn’t have pointy ears is Hermey.

- In Frosty the Snowman, the number of fingers on Frosty’s hands change. When he is trying to count to 10, he has five fingers on one hand and four on the other. After he is done counting , he has four fingers on each hand.

“Away in a Manger” is a classic Christmas carol that first appeared in 1885. According to Wikipedia, the song was first published with two verses in an Evangelical Lutheran Sunday School collection, Little Children’s Book for Schools and Families, edited by James R. Murray, where it simply bore the title “Away in a Manger” and was set to a tune called “St. Kilda,” credited to J.E. Clark. Below are the lyrics for this holiday favorite.

Away in a Manger Lyrics

Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head

The stars in the bright sky
Looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay

The cattle are lowing
The poor Baby wakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes

I love Thee, Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my side,
‘Til morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray

Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And take us to heaven
To live with Thee there
